Newspaper Notes.

~2 sizes of newspapers
                 -School newspaper (Broadsheet)
                 -Half of school newspaper(Tabloid)
~FLAG or MASTHEAD - Has the name of the paper in
~Teaser- Gets you to read something in their newspaper.

~Headlines- Draw your attention
~Pictures
~At least one sub headline per page on a Broadsheet paper.
~Captions (2 sentences. . . 1st sentence- who, what, where, when, why, how?. . . 2nd sentence- extras as in background information)
  1. Caption headline- like a headline. Complete sentence. It should give you an inside abt the picture.
  2. A photo-bi. Give credit to the photographer.
~Bi-line- Persons name and the title of position.
~Story!!!!!
~JUMP- tells you to jump from page to page.
~Info-graphics- information in graphic form.
~Front page- table of contents; volume; and the number;
~Staff box is a MUST! - Position of the staff,

Front Pages of the World

1. What is your favorite newspaper from page? Why?
-My favorite newspaper front page was the one from Helsinki, Finland in Europe. It was my favorite because of the picture used. It brings the viewers attention.

2. What is your favorite headline from that newspaper? Why are you interested in it?
 -"Meryl 'Artist' Steal show", because it sounds like it would be pretty interesting to read and because it's from the Oscars.

3. How many stories are on the front page of your favorite?
-About 5 stories.

4. What do you  notice that all newspaper front pages have in common?

-They all have a dominant picture as in a big picture that brings in the viewers attention.

5. What are things that vary on the front pages of different newspapers? 
-The page's layout is all different. They don't have the same layout as other magazine covers. Their article arrangements are all sorted out.
